Last Hell WeekMy classmates had their 2nd hands-on quiz in JavaScript 5 on Monday afternoon while I was at home taking a rest. For I had a LBM this afternoon. As a result, I had more time to prepare for the last quiz of the school year.
The next day which is Tuesday, Sir Peralta called me to take my quiz this morning. I went to the computer room unprepared (as always). And took the quiz for more than 20 minutes. I also forgot to see the output before starting but it didn't stop me to have a score of 30 out of 75 points (not bad). Still, it was much better than getting lower scores or none at all. Before the day ends, we checked the JS4 and JS5 folders and their contents. And writing the remarks on a one whole sheet of paper. After checking, there were only 2 files that had errors. To sum it up, my files were still okay. As expected, we had our 4th quarter examination along with the other subject areas. Our ICT teacher told us that the coverage for the exam was JavaScript 3, 4, and 5. It seemed like the exam prepared for us was a summary of the latter lessons of the JavaScript programming language. And to make the story short, I got 18 out of 30 points (a little bit higher than my expectations). Even though I didn't review the coverage of the exam. That was how the last week of doing so much school works ended of the S.Y. 2017 - 2018. Bye guys! :) P.S. I don't have all the files of JS4 and JS5 in my google account. But I will add those in this blog post when I can access my computer in the the school.

Exercises...Before moving on to the main topic, I will show you all of my learnings in JS5 this week (as a continuation to previous set).
These are what I had learned in JS5: An event is triggered when a user performs an action, such as clicking on a button or moving your mouse over a link. For an instance, when you click the welcome button in the Example 7.4 of the JS5 document the function greetings() is called. The function assigned to an event is called an event handler. A local variable can only be used inside a function. The variable name ( var name="Daniel"; ) in the Example 7.5 is an example of a local variable. A global variable can be used inside and outside of a function. The variable hometown ( var hometown="Chico"; ) in the Example 7.5 is an example of a local variable. The return keyword is optional and can only exist within a function e.g. the return statement (return miles/gas;) in the Example 7.6. A recursive function is a function that calls itself. It's a chain of function calls to the same function. E.g. the function upDown(num) in the Example 7.7. |
